Best Workout for Thanksgiving
Looking for a big burn before the big day? GOT YOU COVERED!
Turkey Trot's are a lot of fun and I do not discourage them in the slightest however if we're looking for the most effective burn for our buck, I'd steer clear from cardio and recommend strength training or even a MetCon for metabolism management. These workouts are proven to boost the calorie burn without the taxing impact on the joints and help build muscle (muscle contributes to our base metabolism- running and cardio contributes to heart health).

Below is a 30 minute MetCon (short for metabolic conditioning). Now, if you’re not fully aware of how these work, we want to implement these higher intensity workouts 1-2x week. What am I trying to hint at here? DON’T DO THIS EVERY DAY (please!). That’s not their purpose. Doing this workout the day before or the morning of Thanksgiving is a SMART strategy to help buffer the butter and indulgence BUT it’s taxing on the joints if done out of proportion (just like the food on Thanksgiving!). Moderation is key!
